New semi-industrial site commissioned to increase output by 35% while maintaining ethical sourcing standards.
NTI-NEGOCE Group is proud to announce the commissioning of a new semi-industrial gold extraction facility in the Maradi region of Niger. This strategic expansion is projected to increase our total gold output by 35% within the first year of operation, further solidifying our position as a leader in responsible mineral extraction.
The new facility integrates state-of-the-art mercury-free processing technology, aligning with our commitment to the Minamata Convention on Mercury. By shifting from traditional artisanal methods to modern semi-industrial processes, we are not only boosting efficiency and recovery rates but also significantly reducing the environmental footprint of our operations.
'This expansion represents more than just growth in production capacity; it signifies a maturing of the local mining sector,' stated Abdoul K. Touré, CEO of NTI-NEGOCE. 'We are demonstrating that high productivity and rigorous environmental stewardship can go hand in hand.' The site also includes a new vocational training center, which will provide safety and technical training to over 500 local workers annually.
