Installation of modern hydraulic boreholes ensuring access to clean drinking water for 5 villages.
NTI-NEGOCE Group has officially inaugurated a series of hydraulic boreholes in the rural communities surrounding our primary extraction zones. This initiative, part of our 'Mining for Good' ESG strategy, is now providing sustainable access to drinking water for over 2,000 residents who previously relied on unsafe water sources.
The project was developed in partnership with local village chiefs to ensure strategic placement of water points, including serving two health clinics and a primary school. Beyond water access, the construction and maintenance of the facilities have created local jobs and significantly improved sanitary conditions.
'Water is life, and our commitment to host communities starts with basic needs,' said Sophie Keller, Chief Sustainability Officer. 'This borehole project illustrates how the extractive industry can deliver vital, tangible benefits.' The program also includes training for local water management committees to ensure infrastructure longevity.
